In einem Interview mit unseren Freunden von The Vita Lounge hat Entwickler The Layabouts ein kleines Statusupdate zum Spiel gegeben. Demnach sei das Spiel in der Beta-Phase und müsse nun kräftig aufpoliert und getestet werden. Ein Releasedatum nannte man nicht; Man plane jedoch eine Veröffentlichung noch in diesem Jahr. Preislich soll sich das Spiel dabei von 5 – 10 Dollar begeben.
Zudem hat man auch mehr zum Gameplay verraten, insbesondere zu den Bosskämpfen. So wird The Legend of Doodle großen Wert auf die Umwelt legen und so z.B. Bosskämpfe außerhalb des typischen Platformer-Genres anbieten.
In The Legend of Doodle übernimmt ihr das kleine Strichmännchen, welches eine große Katastrophe in Form eines großen, schwarzen Tintenflecks überlebt hat. Ihr seid nun dran, diese Welt nach weiteren Überlebenden zu untersuchen und dem Geheimnis dieser mysteriösen Umstände auf die Spur zu kommen.
