Nachdem Fans Devolver Digital bei der Bekanntgabe des PS4-Releases fragten, wann der angekündigte PS Vita kommt, antwortete der Publisher und Roll7 als Entwickler mit einer sehr ernüchternden Antwort: Aufgrund technischer Schwierigkeiten wurde der Titel für unseren Handheld gestrichen.
Nach Broforce ist Not A Hero damit das zweite Spiel aus dem Hause Devolver Digital, welches als Titel mit großem medialen Interesse und vielversprechendem Gameplay gestrichen wurde.
