Einen Monat vor dem Release hat Koei Tecmo weitere Informationen zum Ableger veröffentlicht. Neben Cross Play und Cross Save unterstützt Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires auch den Touchscreen der PS Vita. Damit lassen sich zum Beispiel euer Pferd rufen oder den Rage Modus aktivieren. Der Zweispieler-Coop wird im Empire- und im Free-Modus via Adhoc spielbar sein.
Zudem hat man erste Screenshots der lokalisierten Fassung sowie einen ersten Trailer ins Netz gestellt. Erscheinen wird der Titel wie angekündigt am 25. November digital. Frühe Käufe werden beim Kauf im ersten Monat mit einem Cross Over-DLC belohnt.
