Scram Kitty DX bekommt ein neues Update, welches die Spielmechanik etwas aufbessert. Das Spiel beinhaltet nun zwei Möglichkeiten der Steuerung. Der klassische „straight-shooting“ Modus bleibt erhalten und noch um den „free-shooting“ Modus ergänzt. In diesem könnt ihr eure Arme unter Verwendung des rechten Sticks der PS Vita bewegen und so besser zielen. Weiterhin wurde das Bewegungstempo beim Schießen erhöht und der Rückstoß beim Springen verringert. Ebenfalls angepasst wurden die Feuerrate und die Stärke eurer Schüsse. Schließlich wurden auch noch die spezifischen PS Vita Audiobugs korrigiert.
